The Glide Path to Revenue

In an ideal world, your contracts are the glide path to revenue.

Here are three things you can do to move closer to the ideal world.

  • Keep it simple. If your contracts can’t be easily understood by an intelligent 10-year-old, they are too complicated.

  • Understand the other side’s point of view. If the same clauses keep causing friction, then it’s probable that you’re not understanding the other side’s concerns.

  • Contracts are a form of communication. Just like your website, brochures and other designed artefacts, the presentation and content of your contracts should reflect your company’s values. If they don’t, you are asking for friction right from the start.
